Kuwanoki RA and Japanese Residents of International Student Shared House

 

Okayama University has four dormitories for international students, and International Students and Japanese students live together in Kuwanoki Dormitory and International Student Shared House. Japanese residents are selected through an open recruitment process in spring and/or fall. The number of applicant changes depending on the number of current residents moving in and out of the dormitory, so please check with the International Affairs Department for details.

Kuwanoki RA (Resident Assistant)

Kuwanoki RAs (Resident Assistants) are students who live in the dormitory with International Students and provide support for dormitory life, and plan and organize exchange events with the aim of helping international students living in the dormitory spend their daily lives in a meaningful way. They will be paid for some of their work. 8 RAs support about 150 international students.

    *After the current RAs explain about their work and dormitory life, they will show you around the dormitory. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them.
    *After Kuwanoki, you can continue with a tour of International Student Shared House. 
    *Your sign up information will be provided to RAs. 
    *You can consider whether or not to apply after the session. 
    *If you have joined the tour of Kuwanoki Dormitory before, you do not need to participate in the tour this time to apply.

  4. Fill out an application form
  5. Prepare the required documents and submit them by email
  6. Enter the desired interview date and time online

    Please enter your interview date and time preference via the link above by the application deadline. Applications not received by the deadline will automatically be considered invalid.
    If none of the following is convenient for you, please also enter that information.

    Wednesday, July 10 to Friday, July 12

Japanese Residents of International Student Shared House

The purpose of the International Student Shared House is for international and Japanese students studying at Okayama University to cultivate a sense of internationalism by experiencing the language, culture, and lifestyle of another country through daily life. The building is designed so that each resident can have their own private room, while four students live together as one unit, allowing for natural interaction between residents.

    *If you would like to join the International Student Shared House tour only, please arrive at the designated time for each tour.

    *Your sign up information will be provided to RAs.
