From October 2024, report on the status of part-time work is required

In April of this year, the Immigration Law was revised, making it mandatory for universities to properly manage the status of international students’ status of residence and their compliance with activities other than those permitted under the current status of residence (part-time work) for all international students.
From October 2024, Okayama University will require all international students to report the following items to Okayama University through ORRS(Okayama University Residence Registration System)*

  1. Register your contact information in Japan(e-mail address, telephone number, address)
  2. Upload an image(photo) of your residence card and enter the information on it
  3. Whether or not you have permission to engage in activities other than those permitted under the current status of residence
  4. Whether or not Part-time job status
  5. Registration of part-time job information
  6. Report the number of hours you work part-time each month

In addition, after October 2024, when you need to submit your residence card to the International Student Office, you will be required to upload an image(photo) of your residence card from the ORRS.
Please submit your Residence Card in the following cases.

  • At the time of enrollment
  • When you extend your period of stay
  • When there are any changes to the information on your card

Login URL, ID and password for ORRS will be notified to your OU Gmail on October 1, 2024.
